Music is a language of its own, surely. It speaks to our hearts, not through words. It also is about gardening and its healing effects.Around 1984, I went to The Munich Opera House, in Germany, and stood in line for a ticket. A man next to me said, "Would you like my wife's ticket? She cannot attend with me, tonight".I said yes. Little did I know, he was a Master Gardener for the City of Munich. He brought the scores to all of the music to be performed that evening. As we sat side by side, he would follow the music with scores in hand.A few hours later, I took a taxi to a restaurant, was seated in a basement room, and I noticed a group of people having a really good time. They looked at me. After a few minutes, they said, “Would you like to join us?” I went over to their table. "Do you know who we are?" No. We are Jefferson Starship".We chatted and had beers together for half an hour. The author visited Nashville twice in the past few years, and put together a short video of photographs of the street life there, and a small village not far away. The description part of the video describes more of his experiences with music, including his experience with the violin.:"Nashville Music and a Small Village Nearby":https://youtu.be/1_qcbMayl_s?si=pxI7f1ZcsY-Sq9mGAlso featured are trailers for the movie "Being There", featuring a fascinating Gardener. My mother has been a dedicated gardener over the years. For many years, after coming home, she would immediately go outdoors and spend four hours a day in gardening, until the sun went down. Soon she will be 87. There is a video of her gardening work, here. I am a big believer in the benefits of Nature and gardens as part of NatureThis book is also about how the greatest of artistry can come from immense pain. The author spent time studying violin in the Suzuki violin program. Featured is information on Mr. Suzuki. There are clips about Appalachia, and horses, such as the movie "Buck", the Real Horse Whisperer.Noting, that The Appalachian peoples love Nature very much, and also have a strong musical background. Also, there is a trailer for "An Unfinished Life", starring Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman.Thiis author's made crafts, and his father had two brothers in the arts. One was in a band in Los Angeles, and lived in Beverly Hills, along with his wife, who worked for a major figure in Hollywood. Another of his uncles was once a radio announcer for The Armed Forces Radio Network. The author went to an all-black Kindergarten and spent his first five years in the ghettos of Detroit: there were bars on some windows, and an uncle died of gunshot wounds in a robbery while working at a store. He also visited the inner sanctum of Stevie Wonder's studio in 2007, where Wonder's songs were recorded. The author lived in San Diego in his twenties; he intended to live there indefinitely, but life had other things in store for him. So, at thirty, he moved back to Kentucky, where his parents lived.Included are clips from Polish musicians, such as the Polish-Jewish pianist, composer and Holocaust survivor Władysław Szpilman. The author’s mother is also from Poland: she is a war refugee from the furthest eastern reaches of Poland, where her village of 2,000 was taken over by Soviet troops when she was very young. The village was 80% Jewish. Most of the Jews never survived. Before coming to America, she had spent time in a relocation camp. Also, the movie "Ladies in Lavender" is featured, with Judy Dench. The author lived in San Diego, California in his twenties. His aunt lived in Beverly Hills for many years and was the executive assistant for Jerry Lewis for many years. She is a Rhode's Scholar who graduated from Oxford University with a master's degree in Theatre And much, much more. Read more
